Cardio Beat Fitness programs will change the way you look & feel one day at a time! You owe it to yourself to make the commitment & start your program today!
I've been with Cardio-Beat from since 1999. In fact, starting my day with my Cardio Beat workout is what gives me my "get up and go!" My pals in the 9 o'clock class are like my extended family, it's a wonderful friendly way to start every day. The friendly atmosphere set by Coach Stephanie with Cardio Beat is important. That isn't the whole picture though. Stephanie is so knowledgeable, patient and caring. I've seen a tremendous difference in body shape, stamina, strength and stability in others and myself through her guidance. Each member is evaluated and coached to reach their own healthy physical potential.
This is the best kept secret in town! At Cardio Beat you have your own "personal trainer" at group rates, in a friendly clean atmosphere. I highly recommend it.I even got my husband to join!

Cardio Beat has made a huge difference in my life. I reluctantly became a member December 09 when my health and weight and deteriorated to about as bad as it could be. I have always been extremely self conscious about my weight and have never felt comfortable in a "regular" gym. My only regret - that I did not do this earlier. Stephanie has created a clean, healthy, supportive environment. You get personal attention without the high cost of personal training (been there done that, got nowhere). And I hate to admit it ... but exercising can be fun! One year later, I have lost a considerable amount of weight, my diabetes has been reversed, and most of all, I feel good. Cardio Beat is a part of my life. I may be one year older but I am ten years healthier. LP - Business owner
I have worked out all my life and at various gyms. I have been a member of Cardio Beat for over 10 years. There are 2 great things about Cardio Beat. First it is very structured. I get a lot more done in an hour than I would on my own. Second it's like having a personal trainer for a lot less money.

I tried a lot of different exercise places, and I realized that what I needed was a personal trainer at a gym. Stephanie is just that. Even though it is a busy group, she is there to guide each individual on a personal program, and make sure the exercises are done correctly, and safely. It is also a lot of fun, with a lot of friendly people. When I used to hear people talk about how great they felt when they exercised, it was hard for me to believe, but now I'm one of those people who feel great, have more energy, and really enjoy exercise! Oh, I just had my 61st birthday, and I feel better than I ever have.

Woohoo! Best gym ever! Working out is no longer a task. Why do I go to Cardio Beat? Because I don't have to worry about my neighbor on a bike yapping away on a cell phone or worry about sweaty equipment, sick!
I have to add that I use to have pretty bad back pain which didn't allow me to work out as often. Stephanie designed my own program according to my needs. I am happily working out without pain.
I have privacy, cleanliness and an amazing work out. Results are impressive;) Bally's, no thanx!

I am 53 years of age and have considered myself an athlete throughout my life. Since 1987 I have concentrated on bicycling, having given up volleyball due to shoulder problems. In 1999 I switched to recumbent bicycles (the kind where you sit down low) because I got tired of neck, butt and (more) shoulder aches. Then, in early 2006, after dabbling with fully enclosed Human Power Vehicles for a couple of years, I set a goal for myself of being the first person over 50 to attain a speed of 60 (yes, sixty) mph in the flying start 200 meter World Human Power Speed Challenge. Until that time, I had relied on only riding to stay in shape. I decided, however, that if I was going to seriously go after 60 mph I would need some professional help (there were those who thought I needed professional help of another kind for even considering it). My wife had been attending Cardio Beat classes for a couple of years and was very enthused at the time about the new owner. With that encouragement, I went in and met with Stephanie. I was impressed with her attention to my goals and her questions regarding current fitness and exercise levels. Then, to top it off, she agreed to sponsor my effort with partial membership! Stephanie put me on a regimen of cross training (running and stair master) and resistance training. She moved me around the numerous machines and free weights, and varied the intensity over time leading up to the competition in October, 2006.With her help, not only do my shoulders not bother me at all any more; I was able to achieve my goal.I pedaled my vehicle (called 'Orange' for obvious reasons) to a speed of 61.11 mph that year. In October 2007, after another year with Cardio Beat, I repeated my success with a speed of 61.05 mph. By the way, the World Record for this competition is now 82.3 mph. I continue to attend sessions at the gym, though I did not compete in the WHPSC this year due to a heavy work travel schedule that precluded serious training. However, I should be back on track for 2009, and I'll be relying on continued good results from Cardio Beat. Thomas H. Nowak Long Beach
April 2010- the dr. said I am at "athlete" level cardiac-wise. I was so excited. I actually had to RUN on the treadmill to get my heart rate up to 90% max - it took about 7 mins. to get there, which is why he said that's athlete level and my heart rate went back to normal within a couple of mins., which is was very impressed with too. AND I'm not even sore or anything. Maybe I can run on that thing after all, but I don't want to push it. Ha!
Mainly I wanted to say a huge THANK YOU to you - I love coming there and to get such a good report from my cardiologist made me feel so good! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
Exercise does make a difference!!
I have been attending Stephanie's workout program at Cardio Beat for the past three years and feel terrific! Through Stephanie's training with fitness balls, resistance straps, balance boards and weights, I have acquired more strength and energy than ever before and my overall health has improved substantially. I highly recommend her fitness program.

Cardio Beat has made a significant difference in my life! I started working out at Cardio Beat less than a year ago and have not only greatly improved my strength and stamina, but have also lost a significant amount of weight. I have so much more energy than I did when I first started! Stephanie gears your workouts each day to your individual goals and needs. She works with you when you have an injury or a special health issue. I appreciate her efforts to help me to live a more healthy life!

Cardio Beat is a great program. One hour of very intense exercise (its not a walk in the park). All I have to do is get there and Stephanie will take care of the rest. I feel the reason I am so healthy is Cardio Beat and Stephanie. THANKS STEPHANIE!!!

I had a fabulous experience at Cardio Beat. Stephanie was attentive to my personal fitness goals and always provided support and a challenging workout. I like the fact that at Cardio Beat a workout program is individualized and you are monitored to increase your program as you progress. Stephanie and her staff are terrific.

Cardio Beat and Coach Stephanie have literally changed my life. Now into the program seven months, and find myself with more energy and wearing clothes I had given up on long ago. The workouts are challenging, but I am never asked to do anything I cannot do. Cardio Beat has become my lifeline.

I have been a Cardio Beat member since June 1999. My goal is maintain a high level of fitness and strength as I age gracefully. Cardio Beat provides these major services and meets my goals. I have continued to participate in the bike tour at the Long Beach Marathon annually. Cardio Beat helps me train to keep participating. I get flattering complements from my staff and people that I meet that think I am younger than my chronologic age by ten years. Fitness is now a natural activity for me.

I have been a member of Cardio Beat for many years and have been extremely happy with the gym and the individual attention. The support is a vital part of the philosophy, where you have a knowledgeable personal trainer that keeps you on target with a workout that is challenging and productive. The atmosphere is always positive and geared for self improvement. I have been a member of many other gyms, but none have offered the total package, of personal training, support, clean & well maintained equipment & a community of friends. Stephanie is a fantastic trainer and motivator, keeping everyone on a path of personal & physical improvement.

I have been going to Cardio Beat for several years and I enjoy being in a smaller gym with personal attention daily. They make a point to know what we are doing either getting us ready for a competition or a physical trip like skiing or biking in the mountains. They make sure we exercise properly so as not to injure ourselves. Cardio Beat is always clean and I like going to the six a.m. class.

I Wish I'd joined Cardio Beat years ago. I have tried other exercise programs with little success. But, at Cardio Beat every day is different and challenging. Stephanie and her staff make sure we do the exercises correctly plus we are constantly pushed to do just a little more - no chance of boredom setting in. After only a short time I can see and feel a difference. The atmosphere is upbeat and the program is addictive. No matter what your fitness level, Cardio Beat is a great place to get into shape and stay that way.

Stephanie has had a challenge with me from the beginning and has risen beyond my expectations consistently. The various medical conditions I've had and extensive travel schedule could have set me back. Fortunately, I am able to continue to make progress at Cardio Beat with Stephanie's encouragement and expert understanding of the infinite variables involved with physically conditioning the human body. I thoroughly enjoy the professionalism and clean open environment. I highly recommend Cardio Beat to anyone looking for a professional and personal experience in training.

If it weren't for Cardio Beat, I probably wouldn't get anymore exercise than walking in my neighborhood! I really like having a class to go to - somehow I feel more accountable. Stephanie provides an individualized program for each member of the class - I really feel that I have a personal trainer even though I'm part of a group. She tailors the workout to my needs, providing plenty of alternative exercises to compensate for my limitations. I know I'm more fit now that I was at 30 (and that was a long time ago)! Another thing I really enjoy about Cardio Beat is that such a friendly group of people work out there.

I have belonged to Cardio Beat since 2000, and have continued to renew my membership through transitions at the gym. I can say with confidence that I'm getting the best gym experience in town at a reasonable price. Stephanie runs a tight ship: she's aware of all of us and what our needs are; she's compassionate, but wise, and knows when to push us when we're too comfortable or pleased with where we are. The last (3?) years have been an exploration in discovering novel ways of getting to muscles I never knew I had. Her commitment to us as a healthful community is real. Stephanie possesses the most important qualities of a personal coach and leader: firmness, belief in our abilities and stamina in sustaining a remarkably challenging schedule. She is an invaluable asset to us, and Cardio Beat gym is one of the best-kept secrets in Long Beach. Working out is an imperative for me, and I would rather be at Cardio Beat than anywhere else: the participants are serious about their work-out, and the environment supports that seriousness of purpose. It is a joy to start my day at Cardio Beat, and I honestly don't know how I'd do without it.

My husband and son were Cardio Beat members for several years before I joined. I always wondered how they could stick with a gym routine each and every week year after year. When my husband asked me to join, I reluctantly agreed, then almost backed out. I don't want to work out... I don't like to sweat...I don't have the time...gyms don't work....I tried it out and weeks turned into months turned into 2 years and still a member! My body fat percentage decreased by a large percentage in just a few months, I was impressed. Hmmm this isn't so bad! It has become a healthy habit, and although I still don't "like" working out, we are all their to accomplish the same goals, to get fit and feel healthy! Unlike other gyms, at Cardio Beat you receive personal guidance each and every session - which gives you motivation. I feel very comfortable, its like showing up for class, seeing the same faces... it's like we are a team!
